Newly started contractor: “I fell for Terri straight away”
Datum: 21 March 2022
In August 2021, Andreas Andersson realised his dream of starting his own business. For his company, Älmeboda Skogstjänst AB, he wanted a reliable, powerful machine with top-class comfort. The choice fell on a combi machine from Terri.
The company has got off to a brilliant start, and Andreas is fully booked well into the autumn. The work ranges from felling to forwarding.
Why did you choose a Terri?
– I simply think it was the best option, not least from the operator’s point of view. I also like that it is made here in Småland, both the design and the production. It is a solid machine.
Andreas initially looked at machines from several different brands, but once he discovered Terri, the choice was obvious.
– What I really appreciate about Terri is that the cab is so spacious. There is plenty of room here, even for a tall guy like me. Another plus is the excellent visibility in all directions.
Andreas also highlights the powerful harvester head, a Log Max 928, whose performance is in a class of its own.
– I am also very happy with the parallel crane – it is well matched to the machine and easy to manoeuvre.
Having a combi machine makes it possible for Andreas to take on both harvesting and forwarding jobs.
– At first I was thinking of a pure harvester, but I also want to be able to offer extracting the timber. So it had to be a combi.
Is it complicated to switch the machine from one to the other?
– Not at all. I have timed it and it takes about 10–15 minutes. My record, though, is under 8 minutes!
