Alfing’s new factory is ready

Datum: 30 June 2023

After a year of intensive work on planning and construction, Alfing’s new modern factory in the Lillsjön industrial area is now ready to move into. Under the Terri brand, Alfing i Älmhult manufactures thinning machines for gentle forestry. The increasing demand for machines developed for long-term, sustainable forestry has led Alfing to invest in increased manufacturing capacity.

We feel that our gentle forest machines are very much in tune with the times, which is why we are choosing to build new premises in Älmhult, says Alfing’s CEO Claes Göran Claesson. We will be inaugurating our new 3,200-square-metre building, divided into warehouse, assembly hall and offices, in June, and it will enable us to meet the increased demand in a very good way, he continues.

The history of the Terri machines began with the manufacturer Valmet in Finland in the early 1970s and, through various ownership structures, finally ended up with Alfing in Älmhult, where extensive development work on the product has been carried out. Today, Terri machines are sold to professional forestry contractors and forest owners throughout Sweden.

Increased interest is also being seen from abroad. We are now receiving enquiries from more or less all over the world, says Arne Isaksson, who is responsible for Terri sales. A good product combined with a growing awareness of how important it is to care for and manage the forest correctly has certainly contributed to our success, he explains.
