Lina Thordin – our new quality manager

My name is Lina Thordin, I am 43 years old and I live in Liatorp with my family. I have worked in the manufacturing industry for more than 20 years, mainly in quality. My journey began as a lathe operator and over the years has developed further within quality, where I have worked with metrology, management systems, deviation management and improvement work, among other things.

What I appreciate most in my work as Quality Manager here at Terri is being able to develop together – solving problems, thinking in new ways and being challenged, while feeling that what you do actually makes a difference.

As a person, I am committed, positive and solution-oriented. I thrive in an environment with drive and a sense of community, where we work together towards common goals and create good conditions for each other.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, and one of my big interests is football.

My first months at Terri

What has perhaps surprised me most during my first six months is how much fun it is to work here. Being able to follow our machines through the entire process in the factory gives a strong understanding of the product – and an even greater respect for the work behind it.

There is something special about seeing a machine out in the forest and knowing that it was made here in Älmhult. It creates both pride and a great feeling at work.

What does quality mean to you?

For me, quality is very much about collaboration, clarity and commitment. When we have a good dialogue and pull in the same direction, we create the best conditions to develop and improve together.

Quality is something we create together, where everyone plays an important role.

A workplace to enjoy

Over the years it has become increasingly clear to me how important it is to enjoy your workplace. When I accepted my role at Terri, I quickly felt that this feeling was here.

It is about trust, the opportunity to develop and being in an environment where you can be involved and make a difference.

There is a great sense of community here and a climate where you feel welcome and part of the team.
