From teacher to instrument panel builder at Terri
At the heart of Terri’s electrical department we find Rebecka Obrell, a 33-year-old woman with a passion for small details and an eye for precision. With a background as a teacher and a newfound love of the manufacturing industry, she is in her element at Terri. Here we explore her journey from the classroom to the factory and the passions that drive her both at work and outside it.
In Terri’s electrical department, Rebecka Obrell is a key player: together with her colleague Matilda, she is responsible for connecting and routing all the electrics in the forestry machines. As an electrician, Rebecka thrives in the detailed world of machine manufacturing. After
swapping the hustle and bustle of the classroom for the vibrant life of the factory, Rebecka has found herself and her passion at Terri.
After six months at Alfing and as many at Terri, Rebecka has had a taste of both companies’ cultures. It is the precision and meticulous work required to build instrument panels that appeals to her most. Her background as a teacher has given her the ability to communicate and work with different people, something she believes her colleagues appreciate.
For Rebecka, the best thing about working at Terri is a combination of the tasks and the sense of community with her colleagues. Her manager, Magnus, receives particular praise for his authenticity and leadership qualities, and Rebecka feels appreciated and well looked after as an employee.
In her free time, Rebecka finds peace and quiet in nature, where she enjoys walking in the forest and countryside. A secret few people know is that Rebecka has done pistol shooting at a club. “I love it when things go bang and stuff happens,” she laughs.
Rebecka’s path from teacher to electrician is an inspiring story about daring to change course to discover what you are really passionate about. At Terri she has found a place where her talents and interests can truly flourish, and her commitment to both work and leisure shines through.
